Cheers V, I wear these London Fog G4s a lot. This will be my fourth.
I regretted missing out on an orange number a few weeks ago, and when I saw this one yesterday it was a no brainer.
It's a women's size 10, which corresponds to a men's 38. Both have the zip on the right though so the only difference seems to be the tiny label with the sizing.
I think we're mature and tolerant enough on here to tolerate different lifestyle choices, and however far you choose to go with wearing women's clothes, I can speak on behalf of all of us in saying that you can be confident we will not judge or criticise you.
I own a number of items of clothing intended for women. None of them look feminine.
My Dad used to tell me that the toughest guys in Glasgow in the 70's wore super tight jeans that were generally women's styles.
I suspect 66, that the main difference between the LF G4 for men and the women's version is that the women's versions came in bolder colours.
My advice would be to look at measurement ratios on women's clothes, if all looks about right it will generally look about right. Even button facing wouldn't be noticeable to Joe Public... though it would be very weird trying to button up. I've been there too.
I admire your liberal mind Liam but button facings should be masculine.
I often look at women's shoes. No pink heels or anything but there are good deals to be had on unisex models in larger women's sizes.
I agree. Button facing I couldn't deal with, because it just seemed too weird when worn. BUT... nobody noticed apart from me. I would imagine a lot of people don't even realise there are masculine and feminine facing styles and would only notice when it came to buttoning up.
My Sebago Campsides are women's and when I wear them I can't help but think how clumsy they would look on a woman's feet. Very manly. I'm sure you'll notice this with the G4. Fine on a guy but fairly unflattering on a woman I'd wager.

Yeah I bet it's the same jacket in construction, it looks as straight and boxy as my other ones. I hope this one will fade nicely like polycotton can.
Picked this suit up recently...the pics don't really do it justice......

just found a very nice southwick made in us suit 2 button pleated for about $40. I'm torn between trying to sell it on etsy and keeping it for myself. What do you think?
The words 2 button and pleated would put me off straight away. If you said 3 2 roll and flat front we may be talking ![]()
^ as per 12 Bar.
Some things just slip through for reasons beyond me..

I saw this, the reason it slipped past me is the length of the jacket. I cant remember the exact measurement but it was ridiculously long.
It was 34.25 inches long.
Doesnt' strike me as particularly long for a 40L if measured from the top of the collar. But yeah, that's probably why. Anyhow, a beauty to look at methinks!

Same reason I didn't buy it. 34.25 is venturing into extra long territory. It is a beauty though.

Agreed, very very nice. If it was around the 30/31 length and in an auction rather than BIN it probably would have gone for a tidy sum.
Just received these in the post. Shell cordovan imperials.
Nice find H. They look like real skull squishers.
They're in really good condition. The sides of the sole have been re blackened and i had to have a repair done to the inside of one of the heels, but you wouldn't notice. They cost me just over £100 including postage from the US, the repair and a customs charge. I'm on the look out for a pair in another colour now.
Ebay find. Haven't got it yet, it looks good though.
