Nothing pretentious about a Yank spelling "color" with a "u".  Certainly not.  Anyway, I see Ralph is doing 'em this year in both country colors and loud party colors.  Wait a few months and the 'bay will be flooded with the latter.  I picked up two pairs of his heavyweight, Italian-made cords last year (in dark forest-green and red-bordering-on-pink) for next to nothing.

Brooks is carrying roughly the same "country" palette as Our Man.  I see, though, that Bills has added "Port" to this year's line-up.

Also, I know Mr. Street has been longing for some proper preppy pants.  Kevin's has a few sizes left of its fox- and quail-embroidered cords, now on sale:

Finally, I love the look of Cordings trou, but at almost $200 shipped to the States, they're a bit rich for me.

smile Just re-checked the book and it does indeed say 'colors'. My brain must have just seen what it wanted to see!

I just bought some Levi`s 505 needlecord jeans in `Muddy Brown` from rmconnection.com.Unfortunately for me they re  cotton/poly mix but the 505 cut is similar to the classic 501 cut and i just want some cord jeans for knocking about in.I think cheap items mixed with good quality can be quite attractive as an OVERALL look.Brings a very rich look down a little i suppose...I realise that i prefer to spend more money on my footwear or on my tops .

I saw the Brooks `5 pocket corduroy pants` and would have bought them (chocolate) but the sizes only start at a 32 waist(!). Come on Brooks! What`s going on!

It`s like i always used to wear size 28 untill the general selection of mens trousers in this size seem`d to die out.I had to necessarily size up to a 30.As it is i`ve had to order a 29 waist from rmconnection.I aint bought anything less than a 30 for around 20 years(!) Hope they`ll fit alright...

The Cordings corduroys are really, really good btw...
