I mean they sold dirty bucks by Sanders... not the buck chukkas, or McNairy Bass ones...
The McNairy Red Brick Sole chukkas look pretty good, and as pointed out above are Goodyear welted. I have no use for a chukka boot myself, but these would seem a realistic buy for those who do. While these are a fairly pleasing evocation of the Walk-Over chukka other styles in the range seem to try too hard: why four eyelets on the buck rather than the classic five? Why two-tone sport laces? Fiddling for fiddling's sake I suppose.
Rather than get Alden to produce hideous hybrids and custom make-ups of bad ideas I wish a retailer would get a reasonably large order of their bucks in white and dirty variants. I'm convinced they would sell as they are a classic example of the pattern: not a re-interpretation or a re-imagining, but the real thing.
Here's to the real thing, brother!
I've just checked Oi Polloi again, and they're selling a loden green version of the Sanders bucks... also 4 eyelets...
Update....Just spoken to a very helpful lady from Sanders & Sanders, apparently the chukkas are available from from Oipolloi, although not shown on their website. She also said chukkas and hi-tops will be on the Sanders & Sanders website next month.
Also available in Sweden:

...and I thought that Sanders didn't sell directly, anymore...
BTW, I was just talking to Oi Polloi, and it seems that the snuff brown Playboy Gibsons are sold out...
I also gave them a little advise about the website: It says "true to size", which is wrong with the Sanders Playboys! You have to size up 1 size, because of the narrow toe box...
BTW, this thread is way off topic..
Does anyone remember the dirty buck that was on the J Press site last year? Obviously made by Sanders with a slight broguing - I should have bought those when they were on sale......
