Ivy Haircut ?

Various threads have addressed the common wisdom as to what goes best with the TNSIL look; shoes, shirts, ties, etc.

Is there any consensus on what, if any, type of haircut goes with the Ivy look?

Chum,

Could it depend upon which style or era of Ivy that one enjoys?  Crewcuts and JFK style certainly,, in yet, I have known extremely preppie blokes who learnt their Ivy in the 60s or 70s who have kept longer hair.

Perchance not a mullet,,

And there is always the ol page 43 of the Brooks catalogue look, eh?

Re: Ivy Haircut ?

Thanks, guys. I had forgotten about all of the good stuff on file.

It took a long time, but I finally convinced the barber, that what RS calls the Ruthless Roman, or what Daniele came up with would work.

He kept giving me grief, that if he cut it that short, that it couldn't be parted. Ultimately, he understood that "that's the point".

Many thanks!

I always thought minor 80s/90s actor william McNamara had the Ur-Preppy haircut:
