How to Break your Heart -
Don't bother with girls - Just agree to edit the diaries of a much loved family member for a family memento...
I start out as 'David (was James)' and then quickly end up as 'The Boy' for the rest of the 28 years...
That's gotta twist da knife!
Actually it's really very touching & it's what I'm mainly doing as of this morning.
Great fun is in comparing my own old diaries with his:
I write about my new discoveries in music & art - He writes about his drinks score for the day: 9.

Oh I dunno... Being his Boy for 28 years is kinda cute...
If Mike came to stay with me his diary would maybe be like my old stuff about Music etc. and mine would just be a list of drinks.
I should say that isn't my Father here that I'm talking about , but Ol' Uncle George (Much on my mind these days). My Pa was a good Accountant & never wrote anything down...
