Re: Quality of Crepes

Customs are a bitch.

I like their shape Moose, regardless of the quality they look mighty stylish from where I'm sitting. Hope they'll hold up.

Re: Quality of Crepes

Spotted some crepes in Pokit in Lambs Conduit Street awhile back. They are shoes (not chukkas) in nubuck or white canvas with a similar sole and toe to the Sanders hi-Tops. I'm told the nubucks will also be available in the same oxford lace-up style as the canvas shoes.

Here's a link to their site:

Re: Quality of Crepes

Thanks for the link - I just looked at their suede shoes - they seem absolutely indentical to my Sanders.  Made for them by Sanders?  How are their suits?

Re: Quality of Crepes

^ This is brilliant stuff!

Chris, thank you very much for sharing the info. Those Pokit (Sanders) Baba` s  look excellent.

1966, you never cease to amaze me!! How do you find the right pic at the right time, EVERY TIME..!???? LOL

Your case for Marlon Brando`s PB shoes perhaps being manufactured by the Sanders company because of the signature graduated crepe sole heel i find really compelling. I think you  may well have hit on something there...

Thank you very much to both of you.

I truly feel indebted now!!!

Ooooh "snuff"!

Note the lack of the smooth leather "piping" between soles and uppers on the Sanders.

Loving those shoes in the back as well.

I wonder if that is the same color as the ones I have - lighter cos it's a photo.  Mine are a much darker brown.

Re: Quality of Crepes

^ Looks like that pair in Japan is a lighter brown indeed Fred, I think it's that orangey "tobacco" colour also known as "snuff" brown.

the pokit baba's look great indeed. on the other hand, the website, with it's flash and whatnot widgets, is rather annoying though.

Re: Quality of Crepes

Although their website is partially broken, I took the plunge and ordered the boots from sandershoes.co.uk a couple of days ago.
Haven't heard from them since, not even a confirmation e-mail.

Did anyone of you ever order from Sanders online?
