I like American Apparel T's and Lands' End Super T's. The Super T is beefy and strong, especially after some washes as it wouldn't loose it's fit... They are reasonably priced when it comes to sales... I got three for about € 25,--...

Zhe Germanophones among us might want to keep an eye open for Ceceba 'Anerican T-Shirts', which I've been lucky with. Smoother feel to the cotton than Hanes/FOTL and wash well.
Got some cheap t-shirts from Sports Direct recently. Turns out they're Beefy Ts. Better than anything I can get here, and only £1.99. European shipping was something like €5. It seems they've been changing over the years, so I can give more details if needed.
^ Well spotted Jugman!

Has anyone any experience on sizing of these? I usually go for uniqlo mediums, fwiw.
The measurements for a medium:
Chest - 19 1/2"
Shoulders - 19".
Length - 28".
Mine are a bit inconsistent. That could have to do with some going through more washes than others, though.
Ediy: Yup. Right in line with Woof's info.

^^^ Thanks to you both. A bit lazy of me...
I shall give 'em a go.
Sweet, got 5, needed some fresh white tees.
Acton Dear Boy....what were the labels on these if you please?
Last one I bought (from Interstate...Gawd bless 'em....) went well past my knees I seem to recall and into a neighbouring hamlet....
Cheers Jug – yep, I believe they’re the last type I got ….. seemed a heck of a lot bigger than than the glorious red label one’s they’d been doing up to then..
As great a bargain as they are, think I’ll stick with Goodwear now…
Hanes beefy is dead, long live FOTL Super Premium.
Think I had one of them too Captain.... from Interstate towards the end...these are quite snug if memory serves me right?
Their Heavy pocket T looks good....anyone been there?
Believe NUFFINK HM......I needed a couple of bridesmaids at all times to hold up my train ...and I'm 6Ft 13 3/4........
^^ Ha ha......well, I've taken a leap into the unknown and ordered a dozen of the buggers. Can always polish the scoot with them at those prices.
got one on today, went by the sizes on the website and could probably got a small - but they are ok, there's a SD store near the cinema where
I am off tonight so might pop my head in and see if they have small to try on.
I couldn't see em in the big Ox St one?!?
Asked a couple of the planks they employ but I may have been talking about herding cattle in the Patagonian Andes for all that was registering with them?!?!?
I have three unworn Mediums for sale £8 including P&P.
I'm a 38" chest and the Medium comes up as a large on me. I've just ordered 3 x Small...
I have noticed that when US servicemen wear an open neck uniform shirt with a T underneath, as they quite often do, they always have that nice high, straight across neckline on the tee shirt, which I don't always seem to achieve.
As an experiment I've ordered some US Army surplus tee shirts from my favourite military underpant supplier on ebay.

I'll report back when I've tried them.
