Whilst in Paris this week I dropped by Sybaris at Argentine and caught up with Albut Loyer - who provided an hour's eulogy to all models of Allen Edmonds against the backdrop of Charlie Mingus (Saturday Night Prayer Meeting among others). A feast of 'Kenwood' loafers on display plus the two-tone Holton boat shoe - (now discontinued ?) Amazing just how much stock that guy maintains in a shop not much bigger than a closet. He's happy to take orders and supply discerning UK customers with loafers, wing tip brogues etc. plus accessories from the AE catalogue. A very accommodating enthusiast - I was consequently late for dinner in St Germain.

i got some loafers at brooks brothers today. the smallest adult size they carry is 7, but even that was too large. boys size 6 fit me perfectly, though. not as well made, but not too bad for the price.

some "Anglo-American", and even some "Italian American" style loafers for the mix...
No, I don't get paid by Alden, and I'm not becoming an iGent... just to lazy to check other makers....
I've always said that they were an option... Just not any kind of "Gold Standard" as we heard so many times in Andyland.

... and you're so right about that!
that second pair is very nice, like the smaller penny strap. Inside is the number 734, same as legendary Weejun model number n734...
