Does anyone out there know the history? I was glancing at the fall preview on the web and they were pushing the fact that it was Scottish from a very old mill. Does anyone know which one? At other times they have pushed the facty that their cashmere was Italian. I know in the 90s they were advertising their century old relationship with a Scottish cashmere knitter. I think throughout the last 20 years the cashmere has at least been spun in Scotland but often fashioned into a sweater in Italy. They seem to be pushing the washing spinning and dying in Scotland this year but I assume the actual making of the fabric into clothes will be done in Italy still. Fine by me. I'm just curious about the historical links. My purchase in February of a cable knit light blue sweater with some connection to Scotland advertised on the lable was a tremendous steal. You can get used to the fabric when they are giving away 4 ply knits for under a hundred bucks.

Don't know the history. But it sure feels good.
