Re: Female ivy or the Seven Sisters look

It's sort of a boyish look.

Re: Female ivy or the Seven Sisters look

beautiful pics ... pigtails girl with the bucket wears the side-buckle loafers nicely .... just the cutest thing you ever saw in your life ....

you'd be hanging out in the dorm at a Seven Sisters school, waiting for your girl to be get back from an afternoon class, and then her friends would come by to chat with you ...
you had to play these occasions carefully ... show too much interest and there could be trouble if word got back that you were flirting, but you still had to line 'em up for future reference ...

bringing a treat of New Haven pizza for the entire hall was a friendly thing to do, those girls were being served the most appalling slop in their beautiful dining rooms .......

The pic is from the Barnard archive. I mentions the names of the girls talking to the Assian student. The beauty on the right appears to be a certain Martha Kostyra Stewart who became quite famous lateron. wink

I don't think that exist a real Ivy total look for womans..for sure not for city/evening clothes.
Only for sportswear (see Muffy Aldrich).
