I've not been in John's for a while, what with moving house and all that, & could use an update as to what's what in there just now.

Some half-sleeved Haggars in nice Summery checks were there last time I popped in.

It would be good if John brought out his own BD or even cut a deal with Dave Mercer... But best of all would be more vintage. I wasn't entirely just being bitchy the other day when I commented that if you hang a Mercer shirt next to an old Brooks one you fall out of love with the Mercer pretty quickly...  But who else is there still making that kind of shirt? Paul Winston was plugging his shirts a while back in Andyland & they sounded good, but would they be good enough to justify the price? Mercer at least is an easy option - 1,2,3 and you get your shirts at an OK-ish price.

I'd still rather go vintage though.

Horace has used them & put me off a bit to be honest.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet.

- I'm really into vintage now though... Wearing the jacket that Chris_H wore when he met Danniel at some do a few years back...
