I wonder if Brooks introduced them before or after they introduced Alden's tassel loafers.
I'm pretty sure that they sold both styles in the 1950s, but it would be great if we could find the exact dates from their archives.

Breaking in the Brooks is much easier than the 976's the Brooks version can also be found on sale at 30% off with free shipping- they come at about $430, which IMO is pretty much the best deal in town.
