There are two beautiful pairs of Shell Cordovan Florsheim Yumas on ebay at the moment: both US size 8, one pair black, the other dark burgundy. Too small for me but they would be a great buy for someone as they rarely turn up in that material and in such nice condition. In my experience they run slightly big so worth considering if you're an 8.5 in other loafers.

As you can see from the pictures a totally different proposition to the Yuma II.

Thanks to NSB's kind heads-up, I managed to win the black shell Yumas.
It was a very big gamble with the size as my US size is 9, not 8. All I can say is that if gunboat longwings are like an ancient car, taking 20 minutes to warm up before running properly, well the Yumas are like a sports car; the high vamp means you have to be shoehorned in. Once on they fit like a dream. A very sleek construction
Compare with the (size 9) Weejun in the pics:

Very good idea comparing them to The Weejun (which we all know). It puts them into context very well.
More shoes should be shown like this.
Best -
Glad they worked out for you Moose, as they're great shoes.
The seller is nothing to do with me but if anyone's looking for a pair of Dirty Bucks in a size 8 these are good bet...............

Just spied this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-2-Roll-Sack-Sui … 1c1ac3ac61
Not the clearest photo it must be said but I actually sold it to this seller last year and it was a belter of an Ivy suit in a mossy tweedy wool. I'm even tempted to buy it back!

Those measurements are a bit messed up: no shoulder and 33 arms. What size do you estimate it as?

If i remember correctly it was a 40L / 42. Was a cracking early 60s cut with pretty trim legs and great shoulders too. The more i write the more i wonder why i sold it.

Haha! I sent him a message asking if he would post overseas. Next morning - the shirt was gone. But I'm glad you got it. By my count it was your turn anyway ![]()

That is pretty crazy for a old madras shirt.

There's a pair of (newer model?) Florsheim Yumas on Ebay Germany at the moment. Not a bad deal if you happen to be a US 7.5.

^^ Is it just me or are those shell cordovan? The look like burgundy shell that has mellowed to a nice brown. The lack of creasing and the indentations certainly make me think shell.

The same thought crossed my mind too.
Sanders Dirty Buck chukkas being sold here by someone in Dundee - a possible bargain if you take a size 7.
3 days to go.

Little update:
No. they weren't shell, but a rather nice waxy tan calf. Obviously from a modern run.
I managed to snipe a pair in #8 shell a couple of days ago for a song and am waiting for them to arrive.
With three pairs now - in three different sizes - I'm turning into some kind of Yuma curator ![]()
Walk Over FBI shoes, as once sold in J.Simons in the 1980s. Great shoemaker. Ivy Mississippi Burning style...
