Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

Likewise.  I've warmed to pink over the past year or so.  I recently wore a pink J. Press shirt out to dinner with the parents.  My dad actually commented on the shirt favorably, and remarked "you don't see guys wearing pink too much these days, but back when I was young it was quite popular to see young guys in pink shirts."  Then he added, "but tonight, here and now, you just look like a sissy little princess."

Besides FXH, are there any other openly gay members of the forum?  For a bunch of guys that like to look at pictures of dudes all the time, there sure seems to be a dearth of gay members around here.

Re: Ebay / Etsy alert

I love pink oxford shirts, especially the old thin cloth Makers. A lot of the newer modern pink shirts in that pepto bismol-bazooka joe bubblegum color are totally worng though. They need to be a really deep salmon pink, almost a washed out and sun faded red. I have a handful of pink Huggers but Brooks (and old J.Press) did the color best.

I'm also a yellow Makers enthusiast; great contrast when worn casually with denim and also nice tonal play with chinos or brown & autumnal colored tweeds. They work well with navy cardigans too. My favorite are yellow s/s button downs worn with shorts and mocassins. I'm surprised so many have a problem wearing them.

Good call on the yellow shirt and navy cardigan.  I'm fond of this great cool weather combo myself.

Ok.  I don't think anyone's been offended... YET.  In the event someone is offended, I'll gladly team up with Thee Captain to do a little PR to smooth things over.

southwick sack jacket - shoulders are ok, but i like some roll on the lapels

this one is a beauty, though it may have double vents and is a bit pricey
