I passed their (Nigel Cabourn) shop in Cov Gdn today as it came up in conversation in American Classics thee other day... talking about The Real McCoys....
I was gonna go in to see what all the fuss was about...but then thought ...Nah....Bollocks...and just looking at their website now, I think I made the right decision....
The Real McCoys wil be almost directly across the road...they look nowhere near opening for those interested...
Fear ye notte Captain - I am here to help you out through the darke nighte of thee soul ...

What's not to like ?
Nowt wrong at all Chuck... but I've enough boots to last me into the 23rd Century...assuming we're all living longer these days..
Should of added I was on a clothes angle more there in mentioning 'em...
But back to plates....
I splashed out on some fancy Boots orthotic insoles a few weeks backs & would give em the thumbs up...think a few on here are sufferin' like meslf...
They be well dear on ebay (other brands) but I guess can't really start a BOOTS ALERT thread can I?!?

From your position on the throne in your Avatar Captain - I can see you suffer from quite pronounced pronation
I have an almost identical overcoat (same size as well) from the 1950's also British but not Harris Tweed. I'd recommend it to anyone.
It would likely fit me perfectly, but no room for another overcoat. At the price, I'd snag it in a second otherwise. I love the big chunky swelled edges and the pockets are perfectly angled for shoving your hands right in when that cold wind hits. And with that type of collar / lapel, it's not too dressy. Watch as I talk myself into it. haha.
I also like that it's Sears, thereby reinforcing the notion that you could get quality gear at a big dept. store at one point in time.

Maybe you and AC should start an Etst shop, maybe with Oliver too?
I was wondering if these cords would also so be suitable for lesbians?

Yuca comes over once a year and we "pet" our overcoats. That's what we call it anyways. We just get them out and air them out, inspect them for moth damage, brush them, and then generally just talk about how much we like them and why. This all set to the tunes of Cal Tjader, of course. I look forward to it.
Yeah, I got it. Yuca, if it doesn't work, it's yours.
Damn, SK, that looks nice. I'm apparently a sucker for green sport coats- I always go for them.
But I'll pass (begrudgingly) on this one seeing as I'm trying to buy two other sport coats on the Bay right now.
(And that's already four more than I should have in my closet, to be honest.)
I wish I had bough some more of these now!

HAHA!!
If ya'll really want some "nice" STA-PREST, I just got some in my size in great condition. Turns out, though, contrary to the listing's description, it wasn't a pair of vintage 501s I bought but rather a pair of contemporary 511s. The 511 fit takes "tapered" to a whole new level- I can't even get the damn things on!
