Personally I love the 511s and I'm contemplating getting a new pair in beige from Ebay.
I also have a pair of massive baggie Northern Soul Sta-Prest presumably from the 70s that I love and adore.
1960's 1970's New Hanover LB Sheppard Plain Toe Bluchers 11 C - Unworn NOS
At $179 they are expensive but a C fitting is to narrow for me anyway, lovely nevertheless in my opinion.

If they weren't narrow I'd be all over them.

Bluchers are nice AC, a bit too big for me though. I looked at his other items and there was a pair of French Shriners for sale. I remember John Lally at The Ivy Shop wearing a well worn pair.

Very low on the waist, levis did a selvedge version too that looked a better cut but never tried them on.
Ah mine are 33x32.
I've sized up to 34w on some slimmer fitting trousers in the past but I doubt that'd be enough for the 511s.

Inspired by Bop's latest cord jacket offerings
Two nice Brooks Brothers Cord 3/2 44 jackets - patch pockets no darts single rear vent - ticking all my boxes
the first one is a killer - I was almost tempted to book myself in for a session on some kind of medieval stretching rack for that
