What don't you dig about the OC's?
They're a perfect fit for me and I see no issues with quality. I'm not really sure how a shetland can be better actually.
Who makes OC's ? Is it Odie ?
Made in Scottland I imagine but I don't know by who.
I don't really have any complaints about it, per se. It's just when I threw on the Harley's I just felt a bit more at home in it. Yes, the OC's is made in Scotland as well.

Wait a dern second. Just the other day you said you needed to lose weight! You're a fickle pickle, you are.
For personal vanity I need to lose weight.
For buying cool vintage clothes I need to gain about 20lbs.
Here's a dreamy cashmere herringbone sack blazer that I sent to a friend earlier -

I came across that while it was still active and was tempted, but the fact that it's black dissuaded me. I would have snagged it if it was navy.
There's a navy CCC / Robert Kirk on the bay right now too in 38.
Is it black? I hadn't even noticed... it looked like a midnight/navy blue cashmere to me.
You might be confusing listings as it was tagged a 39T which would've been to big for you anyway. My friend grabbed it for 20% of the asking.
Speaking of which... size large CCC-Robert Kirk popover for the same cost of my lunch

It says "black" in the listing. I wondered if maybe it was in fact a dark blue and almost just chanced it in hopes that the seller thought it was black. The measurements provided were probably manageable for me. Like you said in the other thread, you never really know based on measurements alone. Sometimes you've just gotta try something on. An allowance of 1/2 - 1 inches here and there could still work depending on the cut of the jacket.
I tend to trust labels more than measurements though.
If the shoulders are droopy and sit lower on your frame than they can potentially be a lot bigger than whatever the standard size would dictate... a more structured 38R might be 17" and a sackier jacket could be 19". That's why I go by the tagged size when available. I think I may even reconsider and offer to pay for the camelhair afterall! I can always resell if it doesn't work out.
I found the other blazer you were talking about and the size is right but the details aren't... a bit too '70s in cut for my taste and not half as nice as the other one I linked to. There's also a three-piece glen plaid listed in a 42, a tan Wash n Wear in a 40, and a strange red gingham tab collar with french cuffs! Never understood why so many tab collars were made with prints or half sleeves... they're obviously meant to be worn with a tie. Can't see that working with red gingham AND french cuffs.
Glad to help, as always... now this is rare!

And this would be cool as heck with a deep blue oxford cloth button down and dark navy knit tie... too bad it comes up short and missing one of those great vintage black leather football buttons:

I love that salt and pepper wool fabric; not flecked like those '50s padded rockabilly coats.
