I think madras cloth is the one material that I'll wear totally beat up. I have one 50s sack full of pinholes and stitches, faded as hell, colors bled into one murky pool of muted earth tones and I still proudly wear the hell out of it with anything and everything from crisp chinos to thoughtfully pressed worsteds and old denims; paired with button downs and knit ties, popovers, or polos. Madras almost looks better the more hard worn it comes!

One of my holy grails is on Etsy in a size 43... terrible pictures but it's a light green gingham summer sack from Stinchfield of Cape Cod. Zach sold one two summers ago in a rare pink gingham in deadstock condition and my size to boot. This one looks like it's seen quite a bit more wear and I'd wager you could probably write the seller to knock a solid $20 off the listing price. It's completely deconstructed and the material is a cotton blend wash n wear. I've seen one once in the flesh in the wrong size. If this were a 38, I'd be all over it.

Does anyone on the forum actually own the bubblegum pink gingham that Zach sold a couple of years ago btw? If anyone does and tires of it, I'd eagerly trade for some rare numbers!

Think I've posted this one before... It's a beautiful 16/32 six-button ocbd from Saks Fifth for only $11 BIN in a the perfect shade of blue. Worth chopping down to a half sleeve at that price if they come up short. Looks like a great collar roll too!
