I'd love it if we could consider it a final decree, bud... Sometimes we talk more about drama and politics than sixty year old clothing trends. The nerve.
Perhaps we should put it to a vote...
Joey, what say you?
I vote yes on the proposition we have a vote.
I also vote yes on the proposition that WM's earlier post becomes the official rule of the Ebay thread.
You win some, you lose some as the great man states.
Yes to plonk whatever you like here and if a problem arises common sense and comunication is the key.
"Quiet at the back" is what teachers say in classrooms. The meaning here is quite clear; you were trying to "school" me from a position of authority. Said in "half jest", you admit. So you were at least half serious, therefore I don't think I misjudged your comment at all. Perhaps you mis-spoke?
And again I only posted links to BIN items. All the sellers shirts are set as auctions. No ambiguity there. On my part or the seller's part. This rare beast you mention must be now extinct. You've probably attracted more attention to those items you're after with your ill chosen remark than I did by trying to help out forum members with a tip.
With all sincerity, I hope you get lucky and win them at a decent price.
Indeed, I did misspeak. It was the wrong turn of phrase, apologies - genuinely didn't mean to cause any offense. Half-jest was meant to mean that I only half-wanted the shirt. Plenty of gems discovered in this thread courtesy of tip-offs - long may that continue - so best if I leave it to the eBay items to do the talking.

I found your comment amusing to be honest Colin, Brody is definitely right on many of the points and I think we maybe could of resolved this more simply by PM... but... to me the banter us half the reason I come here. I think Colin's remark has been taken out of context, I don't agree with cruel/ personal attacks (in jest or otherwise) but why can't we take the piss outta each other? Practically every other post from some of our moderators is a cheeky response?
I also work in an Industry where we have to deal as much with the bad as good of people and I've had to learn to grow a very thick skin, that and being a plastic paddy with a father from the north of the country and having spent most of my teens somewhere though the signs had gone it was no dog's, no black's, no irish... I learnt to let a lot wash over me and laugh at myself?
Edit: Forgot to mention that maybe I also shouldn't put my own standards onto others too much?

There's something magical about a beige jacket with a glen plaid (or in this case, the similar scotch plaid). Really strikes a chord with me.
Shame in this instance it's knackered and, I suspect, a suit jacket. Also the shoulder measurement - if accurate - is way too big for a 40.
This looks like a possible killing deal on a charcoal BB sack. Got a subtle herringbone to it. Somewhere between a 40R and a 41L.

Oh, nice! I had a feeling it might be someone from within the circle because of all the Ivy knowledge.
Shame I have to pass on such a good deal on a BB jacket, but some Frenchmen took most of my money.
I've got a $5 eBay discount code for anyone who wants it... good through Sunday.

Very good used condition. Faint skid mark stains not visible when worn.
I like the look of this Bean blouson.
