Well, I'm actually not fond of those tasseled brogues like that. But I think they are fine on a simple pair of loafers. Yet I will say the tassel with other embellishments such as a beef roll or the dreaded kilt is completely unacceptable.

Agree, a regular weejun-esq loafer is ok with a tassel, not my favourite but wearable.

Yep, had a word with my tailor about that suit, decided it was not worth the effort on the trousers, if it had been the full 3 piece it might have been worth the effort. Lot of short fatties back in the day for sure.
