All the cordovan colours on one pair of boots

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Trickers-Factory-Shop-Stow-brogue-country-boot-size-9_W0QQitemZ310162943468QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Clothing_Menswear_MensShoes_GL?hash=item483726edec&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Maybe not all colours, but a good selection.

Not for me though.

Two bidders. One - predictably - German.

Yes, there have been alot of very tempting trickers on ebay of late. Those cordovan boots look great, it's just a pity that the sole is one of those ugly dianite types.

What will happen is that some of those Trickers seconds will turn up in Melbourne where Stefano will sell them for $1,000 +.

l wanna buy some pairs in my size but my mind-set is strongly focussed on KISS, Vass and Alden at the moment. Buying cheap Trickers wouldn't be a planned purchase (*inpulse purchase) so l must try very hard to stay away from this emotional distraction. l love big fat Trickers more than almost anything...styling is terrific.

lt's really funny, but my old Allen Edmonds `cambridge' shell cordovan model is actually a better made shoo than all of my Trickers. No kidding. Noticably better materials used and noticably better construction (welt stitching on the AE is so much more closer together). People over-rate Trickers on the forums...they aren't as great as everyone makes them out to be. They are good shoos but they are only a simple midend shoo and quality is on par with the prices they charge for them. Trickers are a very honest shoo.

You'd wear them wiff dark odd pants of course. They'd be too over-the-top for the country, but they'd look great in the city. They'd look great with quality dark blue pants or jeans. You wouldn't want to wear them with a traditional notched lapel jacket, you'd wear them with a more modern jacket style. l would kill for a pair of those...right up my alley.

l'm not really big on matching shoos to the outfit (too conformist and boring). My trademark is to mismatch my shoos to my outfit (suits excepted), that's why these shoos appeal to me: they are loud, standout, and are difficult to match properly.

One day i'm going to wear a different shoo on each foot so l can buzz everyone out. That's why l like wearing Monks...they freak everyone out. smile

Well they would mark you a mile off as a shoe nut, which is of course fine for The Shooman - but too fussy for most others. I have a mental picture of a successful German bidder swanning around Munich in them, a mental picture that involves a Barbour jacket and red moleskins, and it makes me wince.

If they weren't size nines, I'd have pegged them as a ladies' boot.

The broguing on the AE's is the foulest i've ever seen (*revolting). Who ever designed the AE broguing is a fucken moron. mad

AE is the most uninspired goodyear welted shoo i've ever seen. Frumpy and dull. Boring.

Those boots would go well with one of those patchwork tweed shooting suits (for camouflage; deer are colourblind).

You wouldn't even need a gun. The beasts would die a humane death, laughing.
