Re: Labels?

great stuff!

I'd forgotten about those Norman madras shirts. I had one in the 80s. Could it have been from the Ivy Shop? I remember buying a madras S/S there in the sale around 1984 - I could never afford anything that was full price in those days.

I gave the shirt to a friend and it survived at least 20 years full on use...

Seriously though I've seen a few Bass branded clothes on ebay recently including leather satchels and all sorts...

Re: Labels?

I had no idea they make/made clothing of any sort. New development or old? Shirt feels quite new.

I had Bass socks (crap!) & still have a rather jolly canvas hold-all from way back when. '89?

Re: Labels?

Yes, that was worth seeing.  Thank you very much for drawing my attention to that.  The old Alan Paine label was rather reassuring.

Re: Labels?

This suit is referred to by my family and friends as 'the FBI suit' because it has that classic cut worn by all FBI agents that appeared in 1960's movies.  I'll have to get someone slimmer than me to model it for some pictures.  It is in perfect condition - hardly ever worn.

Re: Labels?

It's more like 40/32 - I'll get my teenage son to model it - he won't run anywhere once he has it on in case he's seen by any of his mates.
