Rosamund Pike's in it. That's good enough for me.
Top two shots are Paris - It strongly whiffs of piddle along there an' all.
Bottom one is Blighty.
Saw "An Education" this past weekend and can recommend it. Set in 1962 London with forays to Oxford and Paris.
Based on the memoirs of journalist Lynne Barber and her romance with an older man when she was a 16-year old schoolgirl infatuated with French culture.
Set design and costumes throughout are excellent, but I got a particular buzz from a scene in a bar near Walthamstow greyhound track that features the main characters dancing to Ray Charles "Tell The Truth" and Mel Torme's "Comin' Home Baby".
The last of the pictures posted by Big Tony, with the Bristol sportscar, is supposed to be in Twickenham in the film.
Beetroot-infused piss?
Likely Kir Cassis infused piss if in Paris. Mine would be.
Staceyboy
the missus and I are seeing this over the weekend, looks good
saw it today, a good film. There were some plot elements that never got quite resolved but overall very entertaining
Main guy David had a nice look to him throughout the film, esp liked the grey check jacket and dark trouser combo he was wearing in one scene. Being 1962 there was a bit of a jazz undertone to the pop culture of the time that was referenced a few times. Main actress Casey Mulligan is a real doll. Very Audrey looking in some scenes when she is dolled up to go out on the town with David (Peter Sarsgaard)
