However, John Simons talks about the whole "post-war re-birth of Modernism" thus linking it specificall y to Modernism in general... He also would always mention certain architects such as Le Corbusier and designers such as Charles Eames, the Bauhaus, minimalist school of Modernism, and maybe writers such as Hemingway, Faulkner, Fitzgerald. ...

So, I doubt that there is no connection. ..
