Ode to Hot Ivy/Preppy Women

Can we please have a thread with hot women wearing buttondowns (or not), loafers, shetland sweaters, etc?  Ivy or preppy, take your pick; I don't care.

Truth is, I've very rarely found such women as attractive as those who wear French and Italian clothes. But I'm willing to see the light, if it can be shown to me.

Re: Ode to Hot Ivy/Preppy Women

There's a number of Playboy pinups from the 1950's in buttondowns, one was called beatnik chick.  Cross dressing chicks can be quite a turn on.

Some Ivy related Playboy goodies with some vintage BD and loafer action. Particularly dig the "Playboy Ivy Centre" window in the last pic.

Staceyboy, do you have the telephone number of Miss September 1957? I've been sent.

It'll cost ya! Assuming of course that the pay phone in the lobby of her retirement home accepts incoming calls! wink

Re: Ode to Hot Ivy/Preppy Women

By running a nude centerfold along with photos of a Playmate in everyday life, the magazine conveyed the message that the wholesome, attractive women the readers encountered in real life were also interested in sex.

From 50 years later it's hard to realize just how groundbreaking an idea that was at the time.

Re: Ode to Hot Ivy/Preppy Women

There was a couple if hard back Playboy books in the mid-90's, had all the chicks from the 50's to the present and reproduced articles, the best about jazz and who would do what in the ultimate jazz band. Those days are sadly gone now.

I knew I had seen her before, I presumed it was from my previous life, just before Sinatra had be rubbed out for opening my big mouth. I had the two books, but I think there was a third, that came out later, but I never bought it.  Two was enough for my fantasies.

Re: Ode to Hot Ivy/Preppy Women

^Yeah, there was a third book which I didn't bother to buy either. It was a collection of all the centrefolds in chronological order if I remember correctly(?). Interesting in itself of course but not a patch on the previous two titles IMHO: "The Playboy Book: 40 Years" & "Inside the Playboy Mansion".

My favourite was Spycatcher. Instinct tells me that this cat ain't no WASP. The smart money's on Lace Curtain Irish.

There are even mutterings BTS that he's "Bohunk with but two semesters of State College behind him".

I am also nostalgic for the preposterous conceit that was "Ivy Girl".

As Mr. Beatnik knows there were some who thought that I was also him too...

No 'Trad' is a real WASP. Mr. Spycatcher never claimed that I don't think. Just an admiration for them. Probably of all the 'Trads' I know he's my fave. Sooner or later he'll drop the silly tag 'Trad' & feel much better. He's already rather gloomy about what rubbish it is when compared to the real story of the Ivy Style.

Ahhhh - Ivy Girl! 'Becca is a sweetie. She just thinks you're all wankers. Most unfair. She only tolerates me because I'm an old sweetie too.

And we still don't know what Mr. Beatnik wants here -

If someone ahs tthe big Playboy Book, either 40 years or 50 years, please can pages 30 & 34, which show Heffner in his office in button down shirts, white socks, and penny loafers.

Of course Beatnik.

I've just spent my Income Support on some puff and a few cans of High Strength Lager, repaired to the bail hostel and logged on before blissing out.

All is well with the world. In a few hours time even Jim will seem sane.
