Re: Which Wale When & Why?

I remember wearing jumbo cords as a kid n the very early 80's with me Kickers, about '82 ish. The last pair of cords I bought were a pair of chocolate brown needle cords in a boot cut a few years ago.

I've been mulling over having a sports coat made up out of cord just for knocking about in.

i bought two pairs of pants off ebay, both by brooks brothers one is a gold color the other a medium reddish brown, both are middle wale widths, not the really fine or really wide, the gols ones are cuffed and all the seams are taped inside, i wore the reddish brown ones thanksgiving with a brown tweed jacket - the corduroy looked good with the tweed

I know I've said this before, but:

grey narrow-wale cords are a good stand-in for grey flannels

Re: Which Wale When & Why?

I'd say it can be both, an undarted or a darted jacket, but as far as I know, it's definitely an unconstructed, unlined jacket. No padding, and no wadding either, very casual... A J.Press thing, and there are those French ones, too, that were sold at JS... I think it was J.Keydge, but I never got one of those....
