Boggi Italian Menswear

Was having a quick look around the January sales and was quite taken with what I saw in the Boggi window on Jermyn Street. They had a number of suits  with a classic 2 to 3 roll. I did not have time to go in and wondered if anybody new anything about them. Thanks

Thanks alot for the link. It sounds like it might be worth trying to find the time to go back.

Was checking their store at the Bergamo airport the other day - very nice especially for quality-price ratio. Do not think they are made in Italy (well their catalogue doesnt mention this) but quality garments non the less.

Re: Boggi Italian Menswear

On a business trip last year, I bought some button down shirts from Boggi at their store in Linate airport and purchased some more business shirts from their web store. The shirts are made in Romania, but I wouldn't hold that against them.

The roll is okay, better than a RL, but not in the same league as a BB or Mercer, but they do have serious cost effectiveness. I wished I had bought some of the jackets they had in the store as well, better than the website.

I stopped using them when they asked me for a copy of my passport before shipping, for stuff they had already charged the card for.

I discovered this outfit in the centre of the Hague:

Some interesting jackets, ties and oxfords in the shop, again excellent if you're on a budget. But not in the same league as BB's, but with shirts in the sales at 27 Euros a pop and repp ties at around 14 Euros, I wouldn't complain.

^ That shop, Steppin' Out, proves Ivy was a landmark style whose influence can still be seen today. The whole place exudes derivativity. Repp stripes on Oxfords, khakis, blazers, you know the deal. And it's Dutch... it boggles the mind when you think about it.

'Internetwinkel' sounds like a gay porn site.
