Re: When bespoke wishes and fabric dreams go wrong

The only two outfits of Vic that do work in the entire thread:
http://www.styleforum.net/t/323059/victorsf-mini-blog/75#post_5904882

His best effort so far:
http://www.styleforum.net/t/323059/victorsf-mini-blog/75#post_5905038

The rest are a colour combining disaster...too much visual dissonance for good quality eyes.

That's why S.F is full of sartorial disasters, the sheep-men follow their clueless heros because they think that having lots of good clothes makes them experts. People have got to learn how to use their eyes, but this is hard for people who extensively use the left part of their brain and consequently lack artistic flare. Using your eyes efficently is a special skill which needs to be learnt because it doesn't come naturally to most of us.

When I see this guy the word Spetsnaz comes to mind!

His shoes though are magnificent especially the dub monks and the suede and calf specs.

Re: When bespoke wishes and fabric dreams go wrong

That kind of coat only looks good if the cashmere is of a high content and very nice....I just sound full of venom lately don't I? Seriously though I think its quite true, you cant skimp on those items that have to be quality to work. I got a white cashmere DB vest made up for a dinner suit for myself and skimped on the cashmere, just didn't like it, $500 down the crapper. Made one for a client in Loro Piana "top china cashmere" and that was magic.
