You mean those serial-killer-looking-at-his-next-victim, eyes? They look cold and dead. If that man approached me in a quiet, out of the way place with eyes like those, I would probably go pre-emptive on him. I've seen eyes like those a couple times before in real life, on kids who are fucked up on some unknown substance (or combinatin of substances), their eyes seem to be looking at you but are looking at "something else", you don't know what they're going to do - scary shit, believe me.

The sleeve on this suit is so baggy, that it is overflowing the chest. The waist of the jacket is too high (possibly modified ready to wear but not his own pattern) and when combined with the very big seat of the wearer creates the wrong sort of waist suppression and results in a tight waist. The very large seat is also baggy. The entire suit is too tight for the wearer which  accentuates the image of a defiant monkey bell-hop.

This appears to be the look of a member of the millionaire's boys club: the result of inherited wealth being spindled. "...the image of a defiant monkey bell-hop" reminds me of the flying creatures pimping for the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz.

My old RTW suits and sports jackets fit a lot better than that suit!

Same here, which makes me wonder WTF these tailors are doing wrong, since they fuck up so much. Conversely what is the corporate fashion biz doing right?

Is this the thread in which fat men with bad suits complain about people able to afford a competent tailor?

I'm a medium sized man with a bunch of RTW stuff, most of it inexpensive, that fits 500% better than 99% of these bespoke nightmares. They have better, more expensive cloth, but I much better fit and have only spend a couple grand in total over the years. Which would you prefer?

Good point. Bespoke needs to be demonstrably better. Unfortunately that is not usually the case on photos we see.

That said, I don't think matey in the suede shoes looks as bad as some of you make out.

The little, low-sized, maneen with five pairs of the same shoe looks 'tailored' but his clothes seem too tight to my eye. In mitigation his trousers are usually a good length.

Similar to this party boy:

The tie is too dull, even for this outfit. I know what he was trying to do but it doesnt work like that; because the items from each world are classics, doesnt mean they can go together. He needs better sneakers something designer. I would rather see some of those driving shoes or like a seventies soft loafer. Those sneakers are dirty too which for this look is a diaster. Bad move using that TV fold.

This guy is always somewhat interesting but he needs some practice. The outfit is not bad for a certain purpose. I wouldve preferrred a silk waistcoat. What really bothers me here is the plain white shirt and pocket square. He should've had a more interesting white shirt like a jacquard stripe or floral. And the pocket square could be more intrsting like some sot of lilac or pink. Wonder what sort of cufflinks he's wearing? i would used some gold.

Something frightens me about this jacket pattern, it's like the skin or shell of an armadillo. The patch pockets are a rotten idea and the cloth looks like it can't bend. The TV fold white hanky only exacerbates the stiffness of the wearer, who resemble a plastic mannequin. I half expect someone to swing him horizontally under their arm and place him in another part of the park.

I don't understand the fascination with ticket pockets.  They're pretty much useless for most people, especially in the US.  Even in Paris or London, why would you need a separate pocket for your ticket?  And an outside pocket on the jacket is actually not that convenient a pocket to reach if you are wearing a coat (which you would most of the year in London).  I just don't get them.

I think it adds un-needed clutter to a jacket.

Really? take a closer look. The construction of the back of this suit is heavy, klunky, Especially, the upper back and rear sleeve area.

The trouble is the over-waisting to show off the physique but he is so short it looks silly.

Here's the nail in the coffin for him. My mother was over when I had this image up on my PC screen from the neck down and she thought this was me in one of my outfits. When I asked her why she thought that, she said, same body.

This is the sort of disservice they provide for poor, unassuming members. If this outfit is going to get rave, encouraging reviews, then how is a person ever to learn how not to wear things this unfortunate.

I like the gun club pattern with an overcheck. Patch pockets look fine too and the hanky. Not sure how stiff the cloth is difficult to tell from a photo.

It's a tweed, so it'll quite stiff.

Has anyone got nasty with you over the way you're dressed?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The other night I wore Crombie pink cords and Crombie Country Olive Coat with a white shirt, burgundy pocket square/handkerchief and Cheeney Crocodile (mock) boots and somebody I knew got so aggressive and nasty with me about the way I was dressed that the barman at the club I was in noticed and he got the bouncers to throw the guy out. Has anything similar happened to you?

Remember the guy who claimed that wearing a pocket square got him fired from a big law firm?

It could be that the wearer's  demeanor or attitude could affect how much they get picked on more than what they're wearing. When I wear bold stuff, people like it, even some of the roughest customers. When you wear clothes, you have to have a certain sense of humor about fancy items.  Some of these guys want to be taken too seriously and already have stiff personalities and others want to dress like they've always wanted to be an 8 year old girl, which is going to elicit some comments.
