Hey,
this is my first post and I just found this nice looking vintage shirt in an unusual fabric and thought someone on here might be interested. I would buy it, if the sleeves were a bit longer and it was half price...
Jesus $70 for a frayed collar example...
I think what he means to say is "Hello Soulquentin, welcome to the forum thanks for sharing your find with us..."
Thanks for the 'welcome'. But I think that Weejun is right about the price. But a nice shirt nonetheless.
Have your navy blue shetland crew neck at hand Soulquentin and dig out a jazz album... No, not Shakatak...
Excuse my manners SoulQuentin...

no offence taken. by the way: excellent forum with very entertaining and informative threads. keep it up!
That is a beautiful shirt. (The wear and tear and price are unfortunate though.)
The collar, check and pocket are outstanding.

Don't worry Soulquentin. Nobody welcomed me onto this sight.
There was a real buzz about this forum too - that this was the place to come to meet real gentlemen.
You here to meet men too, Big S.? Why not?
Has anybody tried the modern versions of the Gant Hugger? They're available in the States now I thought?
Thanks for the link to my site, soulquentin! It sold on ebay for the same price, but it was a fixed price listing so of course ebay takes a 12% cut of that. It actually sold to the Gant Corporation. I look forward to seeing if they incorporate it into their new vintage-inspired lines. I know it was pricey. I appreciate any feedback. Also if you want to make me any offers, I'll consider them. It's easier to consider offers on my site rather than on ebay since on ebay I have to factor in the fees. Thanks again!

Mark McNairy x Gant... ACL x Gant.... coming soon to a price-bracket near you.

I'd like to hear about that, too. Will hopefully be able to order one or two of those via the Gant store in Scheveningen and will investigate soonish anyway....
Do they have GANT emborided on the pocket, just to ruin them???
I think they said they were going to stamp the old G diamond logo on the pocket.
I'm quite interested to see how they turn out.
This was posted several times before ( i.e. no visual branding ) :

^would have bought the one on the left IF the price on the local gant store hadn't been ultra ridiculous 279 euros!

Shame, I'm not willing to pay that kinda money either. Maybe during the sales then....

..saw the only one left in the sale last friday. the sale price was 110 euros.. a bit too much for a sale item don't you think? ![]()
AND the shirt left was too small for me anyway.
where do they get thise idiotic prices from, one wonders by the way.

If I really like a shirt I'll buy it for that price. Limited edition stuff is always pricey BTW, rarity value and all that. I'm not into buying stuff for rarity's sake only anyway, but if people are willing to pay those prices I suppose it's just clever marketing ![]()
