I know you're basically pretty relaxed about that sort of thing, Heikki
it's really up to the individual at the end of the day. I also know a lot of people on here prefer vintage and deadstock items for that very reason of not wanting to be 'victimised' and that's fine. As you know it doesn't bother me in the slightest, though. Different approach, same love for the clothes..... which is all that matters.....
^ You will appear to be old fashioned by then.
Wait another 5 years and you will be the freshest dresser around again.

Funny 'cos it's true. And what will the kids be calling the style by then, I wonder?
^ "The Great Lost Look".
We will have enough collective knowledge and connections to be in production by then. Beatnik has the first 5 years to try and 'get it', over the remaining 5 he will work on the marketing.
In ten years we will finally start being filthy rich.

Mind you there'd still be infighting over money. Such is the nature of doing business, so you can count me out ![]()
All right. Alex will be our customer, happily paying those prices.

That crossed my mind before posting. The truth of the matter is that I do own some stuff that I could probably sell for good money on Ebay. If I wasn't too lazy to actually go and do it, that is. Eventually some lucky bastard will come across some of it in a secondhand store.....
If you guys could open an online botique and convince the popular posters on SF's Streetwear and Denim forum to adopt the look it could be a goldmine. Along with being deeply feminine, those kids are also complete lemmings.
Slightly off topic but last Saturday I've bought a handsome Gant preppy campus poplin bar stripe button-down shirt on sale in lilac ( or rather soft purple really) and white. It has sky blue herringbone fabric inside the collar and cuffs and it quite simply is a purchase I'm well chuffed with ![]()

Not to leave out the Mugger.
Hilfiger plans to compete with the Wigger.
And, if you have 279 Euros to spare, The Sugger!
To get things a bit back on track, one of my madras shirts is contemporary Gant - apart from the superfluous G A N T branding on the locker-loop, a very nice shirt indeed.
