I love to mix textures amongst all the other 'mixing it up' that I love to do -   

A Poplin Haspel suit with a Brooksy Oxford cloth BD pleases me far more than wearing a Sero Poplin shirt with a Poplin suit.

Things need to spark off each other!

If there is Chromatic & Tonal opposition out there, then there must also be Textural opposition to be played with too...

So here's a story:

I was in Woodstock trawling the Antique shops to furnish that twee cottage I used to troll from in a Cord Slack & Cotton Chinos when I met a cove in a Poplin Cotton Slack and Cords - Me through the looking glass!

An eye opener.

A less obvious combo, but one which absolutely worked.


So how do you like to Combine/Clash/Be creative with the different textures of Cotton?


(When we've done this we can move onto Worsteds, Wools, Flannels & Tweeds!)
