Re: (Vintage) London Fog coats

Bump.  Thinking about getting another, but some navy US army raincoats are also attracting my interest.

Re: (Vintage) London Fog coats

Does anyone know how to date a London Fog?  The beige one I just picked up is 65 poly/35 cotton and say made by Greendwood.  Material is much thicker than a Burberrys and it has a bunch of flaps on the inside to keep the rain out.   There is an ACTWU tag  to indicate that its union made.  Writing is similar to a 50/50 Navy one I own but not exactly the same.  In any case, its missing its liner and I'm wondering if any London Fog size 38 liner will fit or if they changed year-to-year.  From looking at other "made by Greenwood" ones on ebay I think its supposed to have the brown fuzzy liner with the 'London Fog Maincoats' logo sown-in.

ACTWU has only been around since 1976... the tag should give you some additional clues
