Grenfell yes, Barbour no - like Timberland. Overground. Schmutter merchants I know have never heard of Grenfell, much less stock it. Some shake their heads over Barbour and Belstaff, but not for the same reasons as us. It becomes instinctive. Viyella remains interesting - to me partly because some Americans seem to like the style, and I approve of the cultural crossover.
Bespoke English shoes appeal; probably more than Bass or Sebago by now. A chap I know is offering good shoes on a credit basis - like kids used to pay for their suits back in the day, a few quid from the wage packet each Friday.
