Interestingly the jackets are all double-vented. the slums of nyc being a hotbed of anglophilia......

Yes I'd noticed that. It's the same with Robert Redford's suit in Barefoot in the Park...grey flannel sack, patch&flap pockets but fully lined in a gold colour and double vented!

Thank you for reminding me how much I love West Side Story. The clothes / style are very different from as I remembered them. Time to see it again.
