Sheppy's Somerset cider.

Occasionally have a cider but it is never as good as draught scrumpy. Too strong to drink a lot of. Looney soup.

Guinness and cider 'Black Velvet' was a nice drink too. Have not had that in years,

Another bottle of Dewars.

Re: What are you drinking at the moment ?

We've been on a Negroni kick all summer. It's a great summer drink (equal parts Campari, gin and sweet vermouth, garnished with an orange slice, straight-up in a martini glass or on the rocks).  One variation I like is to use 1/2 Campari and 1/2 Aperol.

The next variation I want to try is to substitute half of the sweet vermouth with Punt e Mes.

Re: What are you drinking at the moment ?

Just got back from the Delft beer festival, I'm full of organic hops and I will stay here drinking until the monsoon rains stop.

Ramses brewery was the undiscovered find, brewing in the American style.  Let's be honest, the American independents are at the cutting edge of beer styles, this is their golden/boom years.

Let it may long continue.

Re: What are you drinking at the moment ?

Recently had a Meantime brewery(Greenwich) India Pale Ale. 7.5% the original strength. Disappointing. All you could taste was hops. Too much for me and I like hops. Shame as the best beer I ever drank was draught Bass brewed to the original strength for  a festival in the White Horse, Parsons Green.

Also had Guinness Foreign Export which is better than the ordinary stuff. Best Guinness by far is the Belgian Guinness brewed for John Martin. Unfortunately you do not see it around over here.

Re: What are you drinking at the moment ?

Guinness, like all stouts, you have to be in the mood for heavy fuel, otherwise, you will not enjoy or be able to sup, no matter what.

I get the variety brewed for the Belgians in the local supermarket here, its serious heavy duty fuel oil. When you're in the mood, great stuff, when not, its not even drinkable.

This American brewery, is amongst the best, if not the best of the modern breweries, the only problem it costs me 14.95Euros a bottle here in Holland:
