Nice response Hepcat.  I'm into music on a big level, but jazz is probably one of the few genres that I haven't fully latched onto and don't have an excessive and obsessive familiarity with (well, classical too).  I enjoy it but the 'click' hasn't fully happened yet, I know it'll likely reveal itself though at some point in my life and take over for a while.  New worlds too be explored.  I've got a Chet record but need to check out the other stuff to compare.  Tiki Fulwood was a notable drug addict drummer and perhaps exception to the rule that could still bang when using the stuff,,, until he stopped showing up for gigs,,,
