Ah... the relationship between the lower orders and wit has always been an uneasy one- if it were a book, it'd have to be a short one. Like a Viz comic, presumably.

Yeah and shortly after I'd replied to a PM from Harpo telling him people were friendly on this forum...

Poor Harpo.

Re: Uniqlo Madras BDs

I do indeed have the LL Bean Signature Madras - collar is smaller but fine, similar to the Land's End Madras collar.  Nice shirt.  I am not so happy with the Tattersall shirt I also bought from them....

Thanks for the info Fred. When I went to the LL Bean website I was rather taken with the tattersall shirt and was contemplating ordering it

Re: Uniqlo Madras BDs

Well, well, well - a spat in my first thread! Nothing more than a bijou wankette, however - nothing that I can't handle, coming as I quite obviously do from the, ahem, "lower orders".

Is it, I wonder, my parents' background that is worthy of scorn, or my present state and habit? Ho, hum.

Anyway - yes Klook - it is the signiture ones I fancy - especially the one you picture. I was also a bit dubious about the collar, but thought they'd be worth a go. Strangely the ones on their website are shown, gasp, WITH THE COLLARS UNBUTTONED! Someone really should have a word....

Great look, Moose!

And collars, like lapels, have fluctuated in size and cut over the years too. I've got room for it all.

^^^Looks good, doesn't have to big as long it rolls nicely.

moose: how does the overalla sizing / fit compare to last year's le shirts. last time around i ordered a size l and it was rather baggy. if the sizing / fit is quite the same this time around i'll go for an m.

Re: Uniqlo Madras BDs

Can't say Heikki as last year I ordered 'M', and this time around 'S' - I find it trim enough but I like my shirts a little on the looser side. Sizing down one in a LE sports shirt should never really be a problem though.
