The Grenfell zipper jacket

The 'rare' Grenfell zipper jacket.  As seen on Mr. Simons' Facebook page, amongst the collection of Ivy/modernist images (hmm).  As I've said elsewhere, I stumbled into a rather smelly 'retro' emporium in the heat of last week and found one at a reasonable £20.  Made for some menswear shop in Sidmouth, Devon.  Little side-adjusters.  76 per cent terylene.  I wore it out in the rain yesterday and it worked fine.  But why rare?  Forgive my slight scepticism, but, having had dealings with folk who've talked about rare this and rare that for the past thirty five years or more - first records, then books - I'd just like to know.
Happy to have it, of course, for £20 - but what's the story?  Seems like just a decent quality golf jacket to me.

Re: The Grenfell zipper jacket

If I hear nothing by midnight, I'll assume that everyone is scratching their heads and saying 'search me'.  Increases the rarity value.
