Was killing an hour before dinner today and bumbled into a j.crew. the "bowery pant" i was pretty impressed with-slim fitting without being uncomfortable, tapered without looking like something a sexually confused 20 year old hipster would wear. very take-ivy. 70 bucks for 3rd world manufactured crap is a crime however (though the construction did seem to be decent). perhaps i will steal them to preserve my integrity.

Yes - in this instance shoplifting is a moral imperative. Go thieve!
The major difficulty, based upon rise, overall cut, price, where made, what of etc. No wonder I like my Levis chinos so much. A headache.
found a pair of khaki levis in the regular slim cut last yr, after sizing up and then getting them altered (enormous headache, tailor initially made them look like play-pants hemmed by a mother on a Giant vibrator table) they are already unravelling in a spot. of course now they only offer them in a khaki hillbilly stonewash 505 and in the emo-girl cut.
if someone would just start a company that sold decent stuff and not bow to the sweatshop temptation, theyd make a killing. everyone, everywhere complains about it and its the one thing they refuse to do. those boutique ACL/albam/engineered levis clothes dont need to cost that much. theyre just pieces of frigging cloth sewn together. someone, somewhere can do the same thing, charge what the mall stores do, or a slightly, sanely higher price, and still make plenty of cash. pointlessly ranting here, but it kills me.
with that said, i saw a shirt there in a pattern ive been looking for, for 15 bucks and out came the wallet. spineless consumer feeds spineless corporation. back when grandad was working, when meat butchered outside of the city in sweatshops came in, theyd break the fucking windows and slash the tires. the driver would be lucky not to have his ass kicked. what the hell has happened to this country?
and a crying shame it is.
it was alright. i saw it on the recommendation of my soul brother, Carl, who explained "this Be a Film all about your Proud-Ass Culture, Mac Man." we arent quite as scummy here as they are in boston/hells Giant vibrator, however,by a long shot.
The nicholson character is based on whitey bulger, who was apparently far more interesting in real life-a clean cut, teetotal, psychopath, rather than nicholson's stereotypical flashy, hedonistic portrayal. he was rumored to be hiding in the electricians hall here, i remember them searching the place.

Nicholson does Nicholson. My daughter likes Scorcese far more than I.
Robert Duvall was my man. Generally understated.
