Merino

It has its fans.  I'm one of them.  I've never gone a bundle on the Smedley offerings - the sea island cotton polo shirts in dark green and navy - have been far more to my liking - but I had an off-white v-neck I wore until it was full of holes, often beneath a G9 or Anti-Freeze on windy days.  Certainly, as Kingstonian says, less annoying than cashmere if anything nasty gets at it.  M&S used to do a fair, inexpensive piece.

Re: Merino

I am surprised Ice breaker New Zealand merino has not made the crossover from sports base layer to streetwear.

It is incredible stuff and not at all scratchy next to the skin. Just the the thing when you are outside in the Winter for any length of time. It has a good story to go with the product too.

Re: Merino

If it were to help during December and January, I'd be all for it.  I think I'll look into it.  And you can throw it into the machine?
