Ivy Girl: Donna Reed

Remember her in 'It's A Wonderful Life'?  James Stewart was the epitome of - not necessarily Ivy cool - but a kind of stand-up rectitude; not unlike his buddy Henry Fonda.  And the women in this world had a role to play, too.  They get slightly overlooked IMO.

I lusted after her as a youngin'.  She played Donna Stone in a series of the time -- MD's wife.  Pearls while vacuuming.  The whole thing.  Middle-Class woman liberated by Technology.    Americans on the advance.  Poor 'uddled broke English to paraphrase yr Bard, all on ration cards.  Americans getting the spoils.

Good times.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

Re: Ivy Girl: Donna Reed

yes, she was a much underrated hottie due to her always being so "proper and buttoned up".  But absolutely gorgeous in her prime
