Quentin Crisp

Fascinated by him since seeing John Hurt's performance back in - 1975, would it have been?  Nothing to do with Ivy at all but one of those rather intriguing fringe characters who became a stupid hoho as time wore on.  Brave bugger, though, back in 1928.  Braver than that Aussie arse Tatchell.

Re: Quentin Crisp

I'm a big admirer too Mister Panic. A fabulous character, great writer and broadcaster. Also never seen in a button down...

Re: Quentin Crisp

He said something akin to "In America the government is cold, but the people are warm. In England the people are cold, but the government is kind. In England when I walk down the street, they say 'who the hell do you think you are?' In New York when I walk down the avenue, they say 'my Quentin, you've got it all on today!'"
