I detect a lot of this going on. Pretty unavoidable perhaps in 2010. It may have been the only way to afford a bit of good stuff back in the day, too, when, as we know, prices were high. If the Internet had not come into being, how would we have bought clothes from the US without actually making the trip? Online has revolutionised so much. I manage to pick up bits and pieces in this small town by much assiduous searching, but normally I have to get on a train during the warmer months and scour the 'retro' shops. An ongoing problem for many, perhaps, even in London and the major cities. I've often wondered what Manchester must be like now. It was good for 'Americana' in 1981-82, when I was living up there.
