Re: The Ivy Shop

I saw a bugle in a second hand shop in Surbiton today £30. Also one of those casual jackets with lapped seams. I did not go in to inspect the vent. Both items side by side - a bit J Simons .

One of the problems in vinatge and nos is the tiny sizing.

Excellent.

And that's how it was here in dear old Blighty... And it's not a lost world now either. Ivy still gets talked over here by some loud and clear.

methamphetamine. all major armies were jacked on it besides i believe the russkies, who could rely on brute numerical advantage alone. you look at all that old stuff its tiny. and in the shoulders and chest, not the gut. brit battledress i dont think was made larger than a 44.

Re: The Ivy Shop

My neighbour, 90 this month, former RAF armourer.

"I can tell you exactly where I was and what I was doing on D-Day".

Me (agog):  "What?  Where?"

"In Yorkshire, eating dates from a box".

They later flew them over Dresden, to see the destruction they'd caused.

"It wasn't very nice".
