Swinging London: Nell Dunn

Middle-class renderings of working class lives, but featuring dollies like Carol White and Adrienne Posta.  The novels, published by Pan, turn up from time to time, together with 'The Smashing Bird I Used To Know'.  The stage play 'Steaming' featured the tragic White virtually at the end of her life.  I like Rachel Roberts better, but Carol's not far behind...

I like nell dunn, Would be good to see the bbc wednesday play of up the junction.
Poor cow was an odd film, with stamp and john bindon.
