Another interesting band from that era :

Chas Chandler was their manager. He was the original bassist with The Animals and the manager of Jimi Hendrix!!
I have to recommend the LP 'Slade - Archives & Rarities - 1970-73 - Short Hair - Live at the BBC'

bloody hell-so that`s what Noddy looks like without his buggers grips-looks like just a whisp of bumfluff infront of the ears at this point in time-I have to say Dave Hill looks better here- than when he was wearing sequined flares and platform shoes in the mid 70`s.
Thankyou for posting Mr.Smart

Sheepskin coats - the suede/Del Boy crossover item.
Used to be a big item with cabbies back in the day. A day too nippy for a shawl collared cardi.
The fashionable colour for (cableknit?) cardigans in '69 was mustard - which went with blue jeans and stone Sta-prest.
I agree with GS, that I like those skinhead girls. They are very cute.
But they would probably kick by ass for calling them cute.

You could do me a huge favour by also scanning the pic of the North London Smoothie with the girl model next to him, from "Spirit of '69" ( Sons of Skinhead chapter ) too. That might be very helpful for my essay, although the original pic was somewhat tattered of course. Thanks in advance anyway,
Alex
What of a skinhead girl, who has fringe to match, the kilt on a, loafer ?
Seems the skin head culture was heavily influenced by and may have originated with the Ska culture as Jamaicans immigrated to the UK. Very interesting, no?
