you can put it down to my lack of good breeding, but i have never been able to fathom the sockless thing. feet sloshing around in putrefying, dank leather, saturated with weeks of sweat, never struck me as "carefree and cool". my toes itch thinking about it. do you people douse your shoes with lysol every other day? doesnt that rot them? i suppose its better than wearing flipflops (anywhere but the beach or your own backyard), and mingling with other people's urine and hepatitis on the tavern floor, but thats about it.
I brush my teeth with minty paste/I hate when Liquor goes to waste.

sockless is nice...
.... with loafers (as long as they're broken in and softened) or with boat shoes, camp mocs, bucks, desert boots, canvas shoes, espadrilles...
...if you're going to sit around most of the time, or just walk a little bit, a short distance, you're not in a hurry...
... you get my drift...
It's not for running or dancing or any other real sweaty sports activity...
It looks better with a tan, but it has to work with pale guys like myself, too....
I wouldn't go sockless in second hand shoes...
It's a must with sandals... (even though I'm German)
