The Ivy Look features a small section of recommended makers/brands (which I'll post up some time over the weekend), and mentions some other brands (which I'll also post up).
I'd like to tentatively suggest a couple of additions.
Nothing groundbreaking about them, and they've been discussed recently.

I sent Shetland knitwear an email a while back to no reply. I figure it is best just sending another email - has anyone had similar? How are the shetlands? Look good - although I asked whether they could have the shoulder shortened a bit as it would be too wide.
^ That shoulder is part of the Kellister model shown, the set-in sleeve lines up with the body width causing the shoulder to drop when worn. If you don't want that, look for their saddle shouldered Everest instead.
well, JSA...
Always think the saddle looks better
The obvious British selection
Clark's Originals - http://www.clarks.co.uk/find/Brand-is-originals/Department-is-men.
Sanders for bucks and Playboys - http://www.sanders-uk.com/index.php
Barbour - http://www.barbour.com/. Sadly, there are no more dress gordon lined jackets left.
Baracuta - http://www.baracuta-g9.com/.
John Smedley - http://www.johnsmedley.com/. If they are not Ivy, they should be.
this "heritage research" stuff looks interesting, but cant find a "stockist" online.
Thanks Trojan
I might try again as they look pretty decent - there's a nice grey wool that looks good.
