Found a nice navy sack blazer today with three patch pockets.
Breast pocket had a crest on it - is it possible to flip that pocket round so it doesn't show? Blazer was nice enough, but I just can't wear another chaps school crest on it - I'll leave that to the Japanese!
So, can it be flipped or am I best off waiting to find another?
Couldn't you just take it off? In case it's sown own obviously, and that there's no visible discoloration.
Yeah I was queuing up to buy it but I couldn't see any visible stitching so I assumed it was ironed on in which case I'd need to flip the pocket or take the pocket off, remove the lining inside, heat the iron-on off, restitch the lining and sew the pocket back. Seemed a bit lengthy considering I'd have a massive gluey patch on it!
I think I might just save the money wait and see what JSA has in store.
Sounds like a nice blazer Adam - I don't see why you can't flip a simple patch-pocket other than possible fading. If its of some vintage, the inside might be darker than the outside?
Alternatively, simply remove the badge and join a club with a large attractive crest, say yachting, or maybe cricket. Then use the club badge to cover up the residue of the previous crest, whilst avoiding any moral objections!
On the subject of JS's new shop - I do hope he'll be selling sportcoats - anybody got any inside info.?

What's your size mate? I'll keep my eyes open on the bay, 3 patch pocket blazers do show up frequently.
Great news. Are you allowed to let on any more info RS or is it strictly under wraps for the time being?
It sounds like it's going to be an expensive few trips! I'll head down the first weekend it's open. I cannot wait!
